Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms
By creating a Emerpa account or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms. If you’re accepting on behalf of an organization, you’re confirming you have the authority to bind that organization to them.
2. The service
Emerpa lets you upload credential documents, extracts structured data from them using automated processing, tracks their expiration, and sends reminders before they lapse. Extracted data is provided for convenience — you remain responsible for verifying that the dates and details Emerpa records match the source document, and for renewing credentials before they expire.
3. Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Team admins are responsible for the accuracy of employee records they add and for removing access when someone leaves the organization.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to upload documents you don’t have the right to store, use Emerpa to store anything unlawful, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, or share your account credentials with anyone outside your organization.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on the cycle shown at checkout and renew automatically until canceled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from the billing portal linked in your dashboard. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the documents and data you upload. You grant us a license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the service to you — including running it through automated extraction and, if you enable a public credential portfolio, displaying the credentials you choose to share.
7. Disclaimer
Emerpa is provided “as is.” Automated data extraction can make mistakes, and reminder emails can be delayed or fail to deliver. Emerpa is a tracking aid, not a substitute for your own compliance processes — we’re not liable for lapsed credentials, missed renewals, or decisions made based on extracted or reminder data.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Emerpa’s total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
9. Termination
You may stop using Emerpa and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe pose a security risk to the service or other users.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. If we make material changes, we’ll notify active accounts by email before they take effect.
