Everything a credential has to survive.

Being earned, being filed, being forgotten, and being checked by someone who has never met you.

Capture

Photograph it once.Never retype it.

Drop in a certificate, licence or inspection record as a photo or a PDF. Emerpa reads the certificate number, the issuing body, the expiration date and what the credential actually is, straight off the document — so the record matches the paper instead of matching whoever typed it in.

  • Photos and PDFs, including phone snapshots of a wall certificate
  • Certificate number, issuer, expiry and title extracted automatically
  • Anything it could not read is flagged for review, never guessed
  • Duplicate uploads are detected by certificate number, not filename
  • Unlimited credentials on every plan, Free included

Track

The date is the product. So we watch it for you.

Once a credential is on record, its expiration is checked nightly. You get told well before anything lapses — and for the credentials that need coursework rather than a renewal fee, Emerpa tracks the units you have completed against the units you owe.

  • Nightly expiration audit across every credential you hold
  • Email reminders before anything lapses
  • Staged 90, 60 and 30-day reminders on a team roster
  • Renewal-unit tracking for CE and contact-hour requirements
  • A countdown on every record, not a status you have to interpret
  • Email reminders on every plan · Staged 90/60/30 reminders Team and above

Prove

A credential nobody can checkis just a claim.

Every credential gets its own permanent link. Send it to an employer, a recruiter or a regulator and they see what it is, who issued it, whether it is current, and whether anyone has independently confirmed it — without an account, a login, or a phone call to your HR department.

  • A permanent link and a printable ID for every credential
  • A scannable code that resolves to the live record
  • Self-attested and independently confirmed are shown as different things
  • Expired credentials say so, rather than quietly disappearing
  • Your public portfolio is free, and always will be
  • Portfolio free on every plan · verified badge on all credentials Pro and above

Oversee

One roster.Every expiry on it.

For an organisation, the problem is not one credential — it is knowing which of forty people is about to lapse while nobody is looking. Emerpa puts the whole roster on one screen, with an append-only record of every change, so a compliance review is a page you open rather than a week you lose.

  • Per-person compliance status across the whole organisation
  • Review and confirm a document once, instead of chasing it by email
  • An append-only audit log of every change
  • Coverage risk and a compliance heat map
  • Automated 90/60/30-day reminders to the people who need them
  • Team and above

Questions people search for

Credential tracking, explained plainly

What is credential verification?

Credential verification is confirming that a licence, certification or training record is genuine, belongs to the person presenting it, and has not expired. In practice that means checking three separate things: the document itself, the identity of its holder, and its current status. A photocopy of a certificate proves none of them, which is why a verifiable link matters more than the file.

How do I keep track of licence renewal dates?

The reliable way is to separate the record from the reminder. Storing a scan of the certificate does not help unless something is watching the date on it, and a calendar entry does not help unless it survives the person who created it leaving. Emerpa reads the expiration date off the document at upload and audits it nightly, so the reminder comes from the record rather than from anyone remembering to set one.

What is the difference between a self-attested and a verified credential?

Self-attested means the holder uploaded the document and is vouching for it themselves. Verified means somebody independent has confirmed it — typically a manager who contacted the issuing body. Emerpa shows these as two different states and never presents one as the other, because collapsing them is what makes a verification badge meaningless.

Can I share a single credential without sharing everything else?

Yes. Each credential has its own permanent link, so you can send one certification to an employer without exposing the rest of your portfolio. The link shows what the credential is, who issued it and whether it is current, and never exposes the certificate number, the underlying document, or your email address.

What happens when a credential expires?

It stays on the record and is marked as no longer current. Nothing is deleted or hidden — a public link to an expired credential still resolves and still says plainly that it has lapsed. Quietly removing expired credentials would make every link on the platform less trustworthy, including the current ones.

Does tracking credentials require a separate account for every employee?

Each person holds their own credentials under their own account, and an organisation on a Team plan sees them on a shared roster. That split matters: a licence belongs to the professional who earned it, not to their current employer, so it travels with them when they move.
